Arts & Entertainment

Pacifica boasts an eclectic range of local, community art, culture and entertainment.

SANCHEZ ART CENTER

Sanchez Art Center WindowThe Sanchez Art Center has become one of the Bay Area’s finest cultural attractions and is located in the Pacifica Center for the Arts, 1.5 miles east of the Pacific Coast Highway. Exciting art exhibits change eight times a year in each of the three beautiful galleries. The art center provides exhibitions by emerging and established California artists; education and outreach programs designed to make art accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds; and affordable studio space for up to 30 Bay Area artists.

Art Guild of Pacifica

The Art Guild of Pacifica is a membership organization of artists who live in and bring art to Pacifica, the San Mateo County Coastside and the San Francisco Peninsula. The mission is to increase awareness and appreciation of artists and their works.

Located at the Sanchez Art Center, in the Pacifica Center for the Arts, the Art Guild was founded in 1958 by Pacifica Postmistress Juanita Lombardi. The Art Guild of Pacifica has always stressed art education as well as promotion of the arts. Today with a membership of about 150 artists and supporters, the organization promotes art with unjuried exhibitions, artist gatherings and an Annual Member Show with artists and juror talks.

The members exhibit their work in the West Gallery of the Sanchez Art Center and occupy the entire Art Center for their Annual Members Show and Winter Art Faire.
